On the Day of Dhanteras people wake up early , clean their homes and after cleaning they decorate the house with lights and diyas. After a Puja Set up is done by placing idols of Lord Dhanvantari and Goddess Lakshmi on it. The entire family performs the puja by offering flowers, fruits, sweets and other offerings.
